Why was the KOHI Flask invented?
Frustrated with the waste created in disposable coffee cups and unsatisfied with the thermos options available to take a coffee to work, they pursued inventing their own: a thermos that allowed café-quality coffee, all day long.
Starting as a passion project, they soon realised the potential and industry need for an environmentally friendly flask that produced quality coffee better than the instant coffee options available in the market. After two years of ongoing designs, redesigns, and production, the KOHI Flask was born.
Fight to make the Coffee Flask industry eco friendly
Half of the plastic produced globally goes into products that are used only once, which creates a staggering amount of waste. Coffee cups are estimated to be the second-largest contributor to litter waste after plastic bottles. It is estimated just in Australia 1 billion disposable coffee cups each year end up in landfill, equating to around 60,000 kilograms of plastic waste per annum.
The KOHI flask doubles as a reusable cafe cup, with the intent of reducing the waste caused by single-use cafe cups. The reusable KOHI Flask cup allows you to prepare your coffee at home, or buy one on the go, knowing you’re not contributing to the waste problem.
